Born April 5, 1952, in Nice, France. Granddaughter of the English mime, Léon Sherkot, daughter of the French painter, R.J. Bizet. Childhood and education in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Paris, Charleville-Mézières (France) and Chimay (Belgium).
Began painting in 1973. Traveled extensively. Studied, painted and lived in London, Setubal (Portugal) and Brescia (Italy). Lives now in Beaulieu-sur-Mer (France) and in Zurich (Switzerland).
Mariwish Sherkot paints with oils, India inks, pastels, acrylics and computer on various materials (canvas, wood, paper, cardboard, metal, plastic). Sculpts using aerated concrete and clay.
